Day 3: Release
What can be laid down.
Theme: What Can I Lay Down
Scripture:
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” -Matthew 11:28
This verse is an invitation, not a command. Rest is not a reward for doing better or being more. It is a gift. All you need to do is come as you are and be willing to release what you are carrying. He is willing to hold it for you. Let go so you are free to receive the joy He has for you.
Journal Questions:
What have I been caring that feels heavy or unnecessary now?
What might shift if I no longer let what happened to me in the past define how I move forward?
How might God be inviting me to move forward in greater freedom?
What would it look like to live in
the full freedom He offers?
What patterns or habits no longer serve who I am becoming, the fullest version of myself?
Linger Here:
Take a few deep breaths and imagine yourself sitting with Jesus. Now think of all you are carrying that is heavy. Imagine it in a box. See yourself handing it over to Jesus and see Him take it from you. Your hands are free. You are free. Thank Him and receive the peace and freedom.
Breath Prayer:
Inhale: Lord, I release it all to You.
Exhale: You give me rest.
